Notable guests who attended the evening included:
Lashana Lynch, Richard E. Grant, Fran Lebowitz, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Clara Rugaard, Sandy Powell, Yasmin Le Bon, Jasper Conran, Tali Lennox, Maddi Waterhouse, Malachi Kirby, Plum Sykes, Lili Sumner, David Downton and Virginia Bates.
Guests were welcomed for a drinks reception in the Hinsy Sculpture Gallery followed by view of the exhibition and exclusive dinner in the Raphael Gallery.
The Marie Antoinette Style exhibition, sponsored by Manolo Blahnik, is the first exhibition of its kind in the UK to explore Marie Antoinette, her monumental impact on fashion and design, her legacy, and why she continues to capture audiences’ generation after generation.
The partnership celebrates Blahnik’s longstanding fascination with the French queen, and the exhibition showcases an edit of the handcrafted Marie Antoinette-inspired styles Blahnik has designed over the years alongside original sketches. This is the first time that Blahnik displays his working drawings, revealing part of his design process.
